Early Education Program Located in a Typical Preschool Setting

The Riley Center partners with Asbury United Methodist Church “Weekday” preschool and kindergarten program.  Students in the Riley Center’s Early Education Program participate in an inclusion program that is designed to promote generalization of skills, develop language, academic and motor skills, and teach social skills in a typical preschool setting.  The Early Education program is located in Asbury’s Weekday facility.  Based on an assessment using VB-MAPP, students receive individual instruction in Discrete Trial format to target developmental skills, as well as in a small group setting.  Students join children in the Weekday program for inclusion activities which may include:  outdoor play, calendar activities, learning center time, snack/lunch, art activities, Spanish, music, and chapel time supported by Riley Center staff.  The Early Education program is a year-round program with hours of 9 am-1 pm.
